A Sunday Song: How Great is Our God (World Edition) by Chris Tomlin

Come and sing A Sunday Song with me!

Acts 2: 2, 6

2 Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting… 6 When they heard this sound, a crowd came together in bewilderment, because each one heard them speaking in his own language…

Maybe a little glimpse of Heaven?

So many times, when I think about Heaven I picture English speaking, white, Southern people (basically my family members who have already died –  people I KNEW!)

This is so INCOMPLETE!!!!!  Heaven will be full of ALL RACES and this song just makes me realize that people all over the WORLD are praising the Lord.

I used to teach English as a Second Language (ESL) and I had students from:Mexico, El Salvador, Columbia, Puerto Rico, Moldova, Poland, Iraq, Egypt and many other countries in Africa, China, Japan, Mongolia,  and Samoa. This is all I can think of right now, but there were probably more. It was the richest teaching experience of my life. (Let’s just say that growing up in East Tennessee was not the most culturally diverse of upbringings.) I absolutely fell in love – with ALL OF THEM! I cannot tell you how much they inspired me. Many of them were refugees, meaning their lives were in danger in their own countries. This was usually because of their tribe, race, or RELIGION.  They had to give up everything they had and start over with little or nothing. They were perhaps the happiest people I’ve ever met, and were definitely the most THANKFUL. God bless them all.

I can’t wait to praise the Lord with them!
