It’s Tulip Time in Tennessee

The tulips are blooming!! The tulips are blooming!!! It’s a happy time when the flowers bloom. Many people have had a rough winter, and it’s so good to remember that spring arrives just when we think we can’t take the cold and gray for ONE MORE MINUTE. It makes me think about people who give up when good things are right around the corner.  I hope tulips are blooming in your world – in more ways than one.

Yes, Vee. Just when we couldn’t take the cold weather another minute. I’m going to pop over to see your macros. Thank you for stopping by for a visit.

I just popped over to see your photos and was blown away by those bugs. They are truly amazing! Thank you for visiting!

Thank you Ellen! I think it’s turning cold again tomorrow so we will just have to enjoy the blooms while we can. Hopefully, they are hardy enough to withstand the freeze. Thank you for stopping by!

Thank you for joining in, Jeanette! Isn’t it a pretty spring this year in east TN? And you captured it well! I love how you featured that super cool starburst center of tulips. That is a part that often gets overlooked. Nice composition on the dogwood. It highlights not only the delicacy of the blooms, but also of the branches. The last photo is my favorite because of the tender focus on the flowers. Is that a mountain laurel?

I’m not sure what kind of shrub the little white flower is, but it has the sweetest little bloom! I am enjoying learning from your photography challenge and look forward to learning more!

    • jjart66 says:

Oh Linda, that will make them all the more sweet when they do bloom. I’m afraid I might die waiting if I lived in the great white north! I’d definitely need to buy a few fresh flowers in the meantime. Here’s hoping spring comes soon for you! Thank you for stopping by!

What a nice idea, Shane. We are having a dogwood festival right now and they are cooperating beautifully this year. It’s great to learn news things with new friends. Thanks for stopping by!

We finally have grass – brown and dried up as it is, but no flowers yet.

Your flower pictures are great. I think flowers are so beautiful when they are seen up close. This was a great photo challenge, and the perfect time of year for it.

    • jjart66 says:

Thank you, Chris. It was such a pleasure photographing flowers so close up. I popped over to see your photos and the snow is so pretty. Hopefully you will have flowers in your neck of the woods soon. Thank you for stopping by!

Thank you Lorrie. That’s the best part of macro – it makes you really look at the object. It is a “bee’s eye view”. Thank you for stopping by!
